TED  هي اختصار لتكنولوجيا و ترفيه وتصميم .تيد سلسلة من المؤتمرات العالمية غير ربحية مكرسة لنشر الأفكار وترعاها “مؤسسة سابلنج الأمريكية” وهي مؤسسة غير ربحية خاصة شعارها “أفكار تستحق الانتشار”. عادة ما تكون مدة محادثات TED  قصيرة وقوية (18 دقيقة أو أقل). بدأت تيد في عام 1984 وكانت تغطي التكنولوجيا والترفيه والتصميم ، اما اليوم فهي تغطي تقريبا جميع المواضيع.
